You’ll navigate a 1.5-mile hike to the overlook where you’ll be able get even more pictures of this iconic Arizona landmark. Then we’ll head to a local restaurant for a group lunch. You’ll join a Navajo guide as they take you through the amazing natural formations that make Lower Antelope Canyon famous. From there you’ll continue north to the Navajo Reservation, including a stop at a historic trading post (try the frybread – we’re not kidding). You’ll skirt the Route 66 town of Flagstaff, a high-elevation mountain town at the base of Arizona’s highest point – the San Francisco peaks. You’ll see the iconic Saguaro cactus, Ocotillo (the original barbed wire) and myriad other plants. You’ll depart the Valley of the Sun and within minutes you’ll be traveling through the Sonoran Desert – the world’s warmest (not hottest) and wettest desert.
